Elephant Thoughts is truly a teacher-based organization. We are as much a resource for teachers as we are an outlet for teachers to make change in the world. Through the collective power of this very passionate group of professionals, we teachers are positively changing the lives of students–not just students in our own classrooms, but around the world.
As a teacher-run organization, we mandate that 75% of our voting membership must be working or retired teachers, and that working and retired teachers always have a presence on our board of directors. Using this dynamic membership base, we gather the expertise of hundreds of teachers and education professionals to create some of the most effective and innovative educational programs offered in any school, anywhere.
This is an asset like no other. When we build a school, it is built by teachers with both the care and understanding of what it needs to be a successful educational institution. Things that only a teacher can truly know. Everything we do is with this mindset in place.
We encourage teachers from all over the world to become members and get involved with Elephant Thoughts. Together we can show that one small group of people can indeed change the world.
