Community Garden

Elephant Thoughts has partnered with Georgian Triangle Earth Day Celebrations to create a community garden in the Collingwood area, thanks to generous funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Prepping the garden

What is a community garden?! A community garden is just that – a garden cared for and tended to by community members. Not only will this space act as a community garden in the traditional sense of providing allotments, but we are also hoping this garden can be a meeting place for the members of our community. This is a space where we can nurture innovation within biodiversity and use our garden as a tool to learn about changing climate.

The land for this community garden was generously donated by Margaret and Eric Willis. The garden is located at 795847 Grey Road 19 (Osler Bluff Road), just south of Mountain Road on the east side. This land has never been touched by fertilizers or other pollutants – the soil is pure and ready for growing!

Allotments are $25 each and this fee is put back into the maintenance and management of the garden.
