Elephant Thoughts has been working in northern Canada since 2002. Our education programs are exceptional, hands-on and intriguing. We have quickly expanded to become Canada’s largest science outreach program to northern schools visiting over 70 communities a year and having full time staff in a number of communities. The programs offer a fun way to teach and motivate students.

We believe all students deserve a chance at an excellent education that provides the solid foundation necessary for post secondary success. There are many challenges to providing a high standard of education in remote communities. Our programs help students, schools and teachers.
All of our programs excite students to learn while building on their strengths. Our programs are designed by teams of professional educators- specialized in special needs, First Nation methodology, specific disciplines. These programs combine culture, academics and exploration. This unique approach to engaging students and communities builds the self esteem of students and allows them the skills and courage to chase their dreams.

Intensive academic support to create graduates. Elephant Thoughts inspiring children at a young ages. Programs for grade 1 to grade 12
Our mandate in the north is:
- To increase the number and quality of graduates coming out of remote northern communities
- To help bridge the gap between communities and schools in communities
- To provide students the necessary tools to succeed at post-secondary institutions
- To be a resource for northern schools in areas of professional development, satisfying teacher shortages, and helping acquire classroom tools
- To inspire, motivate, encourage, and develop confidence to First Nation and Inuit students
- To celebrate First Nations and Inuit cultures, and encourage students to share their unique culture, gifts and skills.
We are a children’s education charity; the education programs generate funds and as all the northern programs are conducted on a not-for-profit basis, any money is invested into native educational initiatives.
