Summer Science Camps

Elephant Thoughts is the only organization in Canada able to bring such a high degree of quality science programming to remote locations all across the country. Our camps are rivaled only by the best in-house science camps at major museums and educational institutions.  One full week of camp is jam packed with some of the coolest activities imaginable, and the most state of the art equipment in Canada!  Best of all, because we are a not for profit organization, you get every pennies worth out of our programs, or more.  Our science camps are built on the principal of FUN, FUN, FUN, and aim to excite the children about pursuing science, ignite their imaginations, and expose them to exciting aspects of science and technology.

The goals of the Elephant Thoughts Summer Science Program are to:

  • Empower young First Nations students to believe in themselves as students
  • Excite the students about learning
  • Cultivate environmental stewardship
  • Relate First Nations culture and values to science
  • Engage the whole community in the program
  • Spark the curiosity of students
  • Give kids the most exciting, fun, wow, week of the summer!

Children participate in one full week of hands-on science activities, and every year new and exciting topics are added.  Our camps are available in both French and English for elementary or secondary students.  Some examples of our summer camp activities include:

  • Robotics competitions
  • Space camp in our giant inflatable planetarium
  • Telescope viewings in the evenings (for community members also)
  • Environmental science workshops including live animals
  • Rocket programs
  • Silly science
  • And much much more!

Give an Elephant Thoughts Science Camp a try!  It is one week your kids will never forget, and guaranteed to be the highlight of their summer!
