Teacher Professional Development and Support

We are a strong believer in leaving behind resources that teachers can use to continue their professional growth in our absence.  As many Northern administrators know, finding qualified teachers to work in remote schools is a constant struggle.  Teacher shortages across the North are one of the main roadblocks to success for remote schools.

To help improve this situation, Elephant Thoughts has developed a number of programs to support remote school science programs.  These include:

  • Professional development workshops for teachers, showing them how to successfully integrate science into the classroom
  • One on one peer mentoring for teachers
  • Curriculum and lesson plan guidance for teachers, especially non-qualified teachers
  • An equipment library that teachers can access, including remote training
  • Support finding materials and accessing discounts on them

If your science department needs help, please give us a call.  We will discuss your special needs and send expert teachers to help you address them.
