The Energy and Climate Change workshop is delivered free of charge to Collingwood area schools. The program is sponsored by Collus power. In this workshop students will explore issues related energy: its use, production, and implications for the climate.
This full program will have students:
- Generating power with bicycles
- Visiting the Collus power renewable energy trailer
- Building and racing solar cars
- Working with operating wind turbines
- Auditing areas of energy wastage in the school and providing recommendations
- Making their hair stand up with electricity
- Learning how to conserve in their own lives
- Building working light bulbs
- And many more exciting experiments and activities!
